The Custom Jewelry Process
Step 1: Meet with Ethan
Creating custom jewelry begins with a meeting with Ethan, our owner and lead designer. With care and full attention, we schedule a consultation just for you. During this time, we take the time to get to know you and discuss your goals, design ideas, budget, and timeframes.
We don’t expect you to know exactly what you want or have any jewelry knowledge; the process is completely tailored to you. For us, this is a collaboration, working together to create your perfect custom piece. We can’t wait to meet you!
Step 2: Choose Your Stones
Stones bring out the personality of the whole piece. Picking your stones is a special moment, and going custom means you have no limitations. We take pride in sourcing a wide variety of diamonds and gemstones worldwide. Because of our strong relationships with exclusive, conflict-free diamond and gemstone dealers, we can help you handpick the perfect stones for your one-of-a-kind piece.
Step 3: Design Your Jewelry
Once we have your story and stones, we begin the design process. Every project is unique, and so is every design. With care and attention to detail, we make sure the design reflects the personality and feel you’re looking for. No piece is ever the same.
We love to send lifelike renderings of your custom jewel using CAD (computer-aided design) software. Because these designs are digital, we can make as many adjustments as you’d like. This is the fun part!
Step 4: 3D Printed Models
Digital renderings paint only part of the picture. To give you even more context, we provide 3D-printed models of your design. You can try these on, feel the design elements, and check the overall size, height, and width. These models also help us test stone fit, accompanying bands, and any other design adjustments needed.
Step 5: Production
Once your renderings and wax models are approved, it’s time for the real magic to happen! Our small team of master jewelers casts the 3D-printed wax model into your chosen metal and sets your stones according to the design. Working under powerful 30x magnification microscopes, our jewelers dedicate many hours to ensure your piece meets our highest standards, built to last a lifetime.
Step 6: Delivery
Now comes the best part: delivery! Your custom Louis XV jewel arrives in our signature packaging, complete with an appraisal for insurance replacement and any other documentation or certifications. Seeing the smile and love poured into every piece means the world to us. We love being a part of these special moments and we love celebrating with you.
